Ambuja Yoga is owned by Autumn Adams. Autumn is originally from Portland, Oregon, but lived in Boston and Hawaii before now calling Bend, Oregon home. In addition to owning Ambuja Yoga, Autumn teaches at Juniper Yoga, Yoga Indigo and Broken Top Club in Bend, Oregon.
Autumn Adams is an avid yogini, foodie, hiker and traveler. When Autumn isn’t practicing yoga she can be found exploring Central Oregon, playing with her two naughty pups, whipping up amazing meals for friends and family or deepening her knowledge of yoga.
Autumn was first exposed to yoga in 2000 but didn’t embrace yoga until college when she began to explore different styles of yoga (vinyasa, Bikram, yin, hatha, & Iyengar). Yoga has helped her connect with her inner strength, has taught her to honor and live her truth and has taught her to practice gratitude each and every day.
Autumn is a Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor through Yoga Indigo and is registered with Yoga Alliance (200RYT). Autumn’s classes blend vinyasa & hatha yoga into a gentle, but challenging flow that encourages intention, grace, & courage. She teaches with an open heart and an open mind.
Autumn continues her yoga education through attending conferences and workshops with local, national and international yoga instructors. Her favorite yoga instructors include: Kathryn Budig, Aadil Palkivala, Eoin Finn, Leslie Kaminoff (author of Yoga Anatomy), Peter Sterios and Baxter Bell. Autumn will also be completing her Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training in June 2015 and cannot wait to share her love of yoga with moms-to-be.
Autumn, her husband and their two dogs moved to Bend in September 2013 after wrapping up a 6 month trip through Asia where they practiced yoga, trekked in the Himalayas, climbed remote jungle peaks, and explored distant islands. Autumn brings her love of travel and adventure to her yoga classes as she encourages her students to explore new and familiar postures alike.
Autumn is currently planning three upcoming retreats that include her great loves: yoga, hiking, food and adventure. She is hosting Back to Nature: A Women’s Yoga and Hiking Retreat in Mohawk Valley, Oregon July 17-19, 2015, a Yoga and Surf Retreat in Nicaragua March 5-12, 2016, and a Greek Island Yoga Retreat June 25-July 2, 2016.
